Xu Ke currently works at the Institute of Nano-Science and Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. As a relatively young institute within the CAS, it was founded with President Lu Yongxiang’s vision that it should place greater emphasis on applied basic research and the commercialization of scientific findings. “After extensive deliberation, we ultimately agreed that we should conduct our research in a manner akin to running a business,” Xu Ke said. Following this consensus, Xu Ke and his colleagues established Suzhou Navitec Technology Co., Ltd. From that point on, Xu Ke gradually shifted his focus from pure research to the management and operation of a technology enterprise.
